Odysseas Marina (Vathí, Ionian Islands)

Things to do in Ionian Islands

Also called "the Seven Islands"; they have many more small ones, which can be a great attraction for captains who wish to direct their boat towards this idyllic destination, but at the same time, it has many facilities and other attractions. Crystal clear waters, long, beautiful beaches and a mild climate throughout the year, make this a perfect destination for recreational craft.

If something Greece surely has, it’s history, which can be spotted all around: from archaeological sites to the most cosmopolitan cities.

Corfu is the largest of the Ionian Islands, just two kilometers from the continent, with 200 miles of coastline and the main port and the capital of the same name; which city`s old city (Renaissance palaces still testifying that the island once belonged to the Republic of Venice), has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. All the islands offer excellent anchorages. The south is more arid, with clear-edged coasts, beaches and lagoons. For sailboats, it’s important to mention that the winds are regular and moderate. Although the climate is Mediterranean, a microclimate, influenced by the sea and the warm winds from Africa, has been formed, with cold winds conferring certain characteristics of a tropical climate; warm temperatures and humidity, suitable for navigating the calm sea of Greece.
